Take a walk outside – in the park, in the yard or in the woods – and see what kind of  animal tracks you can find.  You may even find your own! When you find an animal track, try to determine if there are signs that the animal lives nearby – Is there a bird nest in the tree?  A hole at the bottom of a tree?  Broken nutshells?  Take a pad of paper with you and draw the animal tracks that you find.  I just had my first grade  class do this as a science project and they loved doing it!  It’s fun to take a walk in the evening after dinner with your family and do this project!!
