It is so hard to believe that I have just finished week 2 of my Nutrisystem Journey! It has flown by and doesn’t feel like a diet at all! On other diets it is just about now that I feel like I can’t go on any longer and end up quitting, but with all the great food I’ve been eating, I don’t have that feeling!
This week I am going to talk about breakfast! Now usually I am not a breakfast eater, which I know is not good. On Nutrisystem it is required that you start your day with one of their many choices of entrees and a protein shake (which I talked about last week…delicious!!). There are about 30 breakfast items that you can choose from but since I am not a big breakfast eater and am in a huge hurry every morning, I chose the options that were grab and run type entrees (except for the pancakes, which I eat on the weekends). I just love the banana nut muffins, the cinnamon roll, and the pancakes. I did order a couple of the omelets, which I really didn’t expect to like much, but was quite surprised at how good it tasted! I may order more of those next time because I think I need to eat higher protein items and stay away from the sweeter items…maybe save them for a special treat.
All in all, I have to say that this diet is quite enjoyable and I know that I can stick with it….it gets easier every day!
I am a little disappointed that I only lost 1 lb. this week and I have not cheated at all, but as I told you, this menopausal body doesn’t let go of fat easily! The way I have to look at this is that at least I lost something and didn’t gain! I will just plug along…even if it’s one pound at a time!
