Okay….I’m going to admit it….I have NOT have a good week sticking to my Nutrisystem plan and because of it, I do not feel as energized as I have been! I look forward to getting back on track this week!!
1. The County Fair came to town and I ate an elephant ear. It just didn’t seem right to go there and let that opportunity pass me by. Well, yeah, it sounded good at the time but guess what? The elephant ear is long gone but the consequences of eating it are not!! Totally not worth it. Made me think about the old saying “A moment on the lips but forever on the hips!”
2. It was my birthday this week. I really intended to behave myself but lost control when my students brought me cupcakes! Who can tell kids that made you cupcakes that you can’t eat them? That seemed cruel. However, I should have eaten only 1…not 3!! 🙁
3. My hubby went to the hospital. For what, you ask? For chest pains!! He had a blockage and had to have a stent. Yes, this has brought everything back to reality and made me realize just why I am trying to get rid of this excess weight!! It is not healthy. It causes my heart to have to work harder. I will get back on track…I promise!
I love Nutrisystem…I really, really do! And there is no reason in the world to have gone crazy like this because I can have wonderful meals and dessert on the program. I just have to keep my focus……..I don’t have to plan meals, count calories, wonder what to cook, or what to buy at the grocery store. That is all included in the plan!
Yes, I can and will do this!

I would do the same thing at the fair, we have to have a little something once in awhile. I think overall you are doing a great job and are an inspiration! Thank you for being honest
Ateast you realize it’s not worth those calories for a few minutes of satisfaction! Sometimes you just have to take it one day at a time and get back on track. A slip up here and there doesn’t mean you throw in the towel… Sounds like nutri system has taught you this. Good luck getting back on track this week, can’t wait to read the next entry!
Happy Birthday and I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. I too went to the fair and I ate way more than one elephant ear! I felt like such a failure and was ready to just chunk the whole diet! I really needed to read this today!!!! Tomorrow is a new day and yes, I can get back on track too!!! Thanks for reminding me of that and encouraging all of us that we’re not perfect, but we can make mistakes and still be successful.
Those kind of weeks can make it so tough to stay on track. Sorry about your husband. Hope he has a quick recovery, and Happy Birthday!
Oh my! You certainly had a challenging week! I do hope your hubby is doing well and feeling better. Don’t beat yourself up about this week…we’re always too hard on ourselves! Nutrisystem is a great program and I love their support forums too. It always helps to know that others are rooting for you, so don’t forget to take advantage of the resources they offer (in addition to the yummy food)!
Sorry to hear this week has not been a good one. Happy Late Birthday to you, I hope your husband is feeling better and things aren’t always be easy but in the long run they will be well worth it.
I’m so sorry you had a rough week! I think that eating the cupcakes your students made was the right thing to do! They would have been so sad if you hadn’t!
My anunt did NutriSystem years ago, she looked great and lost a bunch of weight on it, the food looked delicious too!
we all fall off of the wagon now and then. keep up the good work.
Happy Birthday!
