Homemade Pedialyte Recipe

I hate buying Pedialyte, it’s just so expensive, and then I feel like it gets wasted because it’s never completely gone and I have to throw it away. I wanted to make my own for my baby, as she was sick this week, and milk was not helping out in any way. I looked up a few different recipes on the internet, and made my own.

Ingredients:

3 1/2 cups of cold water

1/2 cup of boiling water

2 teaspoons of powdered jello, I used strawberry

3 tablespoons of sugar

1/4 teaspoon of salt

Directions:

Pour the jello, sugar, and salt into a pitcher.

Add in the boiling water and stir until the powdered ingredients are completely dissolved.

Add the rest of the water, stir, and refrigerate.

I like that this mixture is so simple, you know what’s in it, and it tastes a little bit better than the Pedialyte in the stores. It’s very easy to make and with ingredients almost any parent would have on hand.

A huge thank you to Everything Mommyhood for this great recipe idea!
