My favorite school memory is learning about ancient Egypt in the 5th grade & going to see King Tut’s exhibit on a field trip.
Start your bedtime routine a few weeks before school starts. Its always different in the summer.
My back to school tip is to take inventory of your kids clothes before you shop for new stuff!
I always loved the first day of school and going to get school supplies. I loved having a “fresh start” each year.
I always loved back to school shopping…still do!
Take a first-day-of-school picture with your child’s teacher to commemorate the day! (Then take an end-of-school picture to compare.)
My best back to school tip is to stock up on school supplies to last the year while items are on sale now.
Getting a new backpack… it is always exciting!
I always get my kids clothing ready the night before and have a breakfast menu for the weekday
For homeschoolers start mid week and get a few days in before jumping into a full week.
We like to start getting up to our alarms the week before school starts so it’s not so hard when it really counts. Also I like to have her pick out her clothes and get her backpack ready the night before so we aren’t stuck looking for things last minute.
my best back to school tip is to get kids back to early bed time routine about 2 weeks before school and don’t wait until last minute to shop for school supplies or everything will be picked over
My back to school tip is to never fully let your kid’s brains shut off in the summer. My mom would have my brother and I enter reading contests through the summer and I think I will do that when my son is old enough. My mom used to also make us do math and writing everyday. I used to throw a fit and complain, but it was actually really beneficial by the time school came back!
Thank you for the giveaway! I love that lunch box! and how perfect is it that the example one says Benjamin!?! My son would love it too ๐
Back to School Shopping with an impatient Dad! Oh the memories… every year we would go shopping, make it to about 2 stores before he would give up/give in. Maybe got an hour or 2 in at the most!
one of the best memories I have from school is when my mom had my little brother. Everyone knew my mom was pregnant ๐ She had my brother while I was in school and they called. I got to announce it to the class and leave early. Everyone made a big deal, so I felt cool ๐
Dont forget to pack a napkin in your lunch box..
Start shopping early! Most stores have great deals NOW, and those deals will be gone by the time school starts.
I always love the first day back to school for when I was younger & now my kids, it’s always exciting.
Make sure you put your child’s name on everything they take to school
I think the most important thing is to try and get your kid psyched up for school. Let them help plan lunches and outfits, talk about seeing old and new friends, reading new books, learning new things… if possible, find out some of what they will learn early on, and let them know if any of them are topics of interest!
